ARRIVED. Oct. 19— Marniion, from Kaipara. Oct. 19 — Nelson, ship, Captain Bannatyno, from Glasgow (left August 2nd). SAILED. Oct. 19 — Koranui, for We3t Coast. Oct. 19— Embloton, barque, for Auckland. The Nelson, from Glasgow, spoke tho ship Taranaki, from London for Lyttelton, all well, on September 6th, nnd kept company with her for three weeks. The Nelson brings 305 passengers, all well, and made n passage of 77 days. Wellington, Oct. 19. Arrived — Wairarapa, s.s., from Melbourne, via South : Wallace, from Nelson. Sailed — Wairarapa, s.s., for Anckland, via tho East Coast. HOKITIKA, Oct. 19. The schooner Wanganui arrived to-day from Dnnedin. Captain Laing reports the loss of one of his men named Peter Oister, who was lost overboard when running through Cook Straits m a- galo of wind. AU efforts to save the man were unavailing. Ho was a Russian by birth, hailing from Riga. DCNEDIN, Oct. 19. The ship Tarauaki, bound for Lyttelton, passed Capo Saundera at eight o'clock this morning. Bluff, Oct. 10. Arrived — Barquo Lochnagar, from London, 96 days out, with a. general cargo. She spoke the Pleiono on September 22nd — all well bound to Wellington. Sailed — Government schooner Kekouo.
