Rain has fallen throughout the colony, and the harvest prospects are consequently looking brighter. Melbourne, Oct 19. At 10 p.m. the weather to-night was unsettled, and appears unfavorable for the Caulfield Cup Meeting to-morrow. The following is the latest betting on that event :— Calma, 6 to 1 ; Footstep, 7 to 1 ; Fryingpan, 14 to 1 ; Septius, 14 to 1 ; Norfolk, 15 to 1 ; Belmont, 20 to 1. Boscawan has been scratched for the Melbourne Cup
