The Homeward mails, via Naples, from Melbourne, September sth, per Orient steamship Potosi, were delivered here today. The Oriental Bank Corporation declares no dividend for the pa3t half year, but carries forward £36,000 to the reserve fund. Oct. 19. Three men named Agricus (sic), Bracken and Holmes have been arrested at Halifax with dynamite m their possession. A supposed infernal machine, containing clockwork, was also found upon them. The prisoners are suspected of being Fenian commission aries. Alexandria, Oct. 18. A further outbreak of cholera has occurred near this city. Great precautions have been taken to prevent a spread of the disease. CONSTANTINOPLE, Oct. 18. Official estimates to hand from the province of Anatolia, m Asia Minor, give the number of lives lost as 200. The distress among the inhabitants is very great.
