Arrived at King George's Sound, last evening — P. and O. steamer Mirzapore, with raaila dated London, August 24th. Adelaide, Sept. 27. A verdict for tho plaintiff with damages of £2 has been returned m the action brought by Joseph Thompson, a wellknown bookmaker, against the Adelaide Racing Club for wrongful expulsion from the enclosure m May last. The Court held that tho Club's lease of the course wbb not a valid one. Melbourne, Sept. 27. Before his execution on Tuesday last Burns, tho murderer of Michael Quialivan, confessed that he had committed
