NOTICE TO SHIPMASTERS.
Wellington, Sept. 25. Tho following notice to shipmasters trading to the port of Newcastle has been received by the Secretary to the Marine Department : — " On and after the Ist October next tho two red lights shown on board tho ' Lady Alicia ' will be discontinued, and the same two lifjhts will be hoisted from sunset to sunrise on board a permanent light-ship, moored m nine feet of water, near the position of tho black buoy, which will also be removed. During foggy weather a bell will be sounded at short intervals on board tho light-ship.
