[Bt Telegraph.] AUCKLAND. Jane 16. The market for breadstuffs and grain is quiet, notwithstanding the large prices ruling. Southern sharps and bran are scarce, and the* * former has hardened to the extent of 10s, the quotation now being £7 10s. Fowl wheat is firm at 4a 6d to 4s 9d. Barley is scarce and firm at 4a 2d to 4s 4d ; malting sorts are firm at Ss 3d to Ss 6d, on account of the very limited supplies of first-class samples coming to hand. The exportation of potatoes to the neighboring colony of New South Wales continnes, bnt as the supply co far ia equal to the demand, prices remain unchanged at JE3 to .£3 10s, though it is expected the quotation will shortly be £4. Indeed, as much as that has already been paid.
