WiIiINOTON, June 18. Arriyed— Star of the East, barque (Captain Balmain), from London, 98 days out, all well. Sailed— Stella, s.s., for the South. Wbstpobt, June 15. A schooner is anchored off theNorth Beach, and is flying- a signal for a tug to come to her. Her canvas is blown to ribbons. If the anchor '. holds, the vessel will be safe. The sea is too heavy for steamers- in port to go to her assistance. An opinion ia expressed that she is the Fleetwinjj. Chbistchttech, June 16. • The i.B. Westport was pumped dry m two hours to-day. All the holes were stopped with canvas, and a sail passed round the bow. She floated at 4 p.m., with the assistance of the Go- Ahead, and all going well will leare Akaroa for Lyttelton at 4 a.m. to-morrow (Saturday).
