THE TREATY WITH THE BOERS.

MgLBOtJBUB, April 19. clue following are the official terms of peace, taken from the Cape Times of March. 28tb, dated Fort Amiel, March 26tb,as transthe Govrrnor of Capn Town : — Terms — Her Majesty Q'leen of Great Britain and Ireland and Empress of India has been graciously pleaded to accord tho B >orj, recently m arms, who dispersed to their homes on the 25th March m the Transvail, subjects of the suzerain rights of Great Britain, to have entire self-Government as regards interior affairs, the control of foreign relations to be reserved. The suzerainty includes the right of movirg troops into the country m time of war ; the transfer of Government to be carried out within a period of six months at the latest, with a view to separating the Transvaal from the great native districts lying east. The determination of the easterly boundaries of the future territory will form part of the work of the Eoyal Commission, who will also lake into consideration measure.* for the protection of the natives interested. Until the report of tho Royal Commission is approved of by the Home Government, the Transvaal will remain under British rule, a British Resident, with such functions as may hereafter ba approved of, to be located m the future capital of the Government. Her Majesty's Government guarantee the Boer leidsrs, individually and collectively, and those acting under their order*, immunity from oivil process for act* [sic) done m reference to the war, until «elfgovernment hue been accorded.
