GERALDINE ROAD BOARD.

A meeting of this Board waa held at the Board office ou Tuesday, the lat .September, 1868. Present '— «- Messrs Ortusby (Chairman), Medlicott, l'ilbrow, and Dr Raynor. The miuutea of the last meeting wove read and confirmed. Tiie assessor laid on the tnblo copies of the ratepayers' roll for thu ensuing year, duly assessed. Proposed by Dr Bayner, seconded by Mr Medlioott, and carried— •' That the roll as submitted by the assessor be adopted, aud that the Chairman be requested to sigh this same, and give public notice where it will be opeu for inspection of th« ratepayers." Resolved- "Thut, for the convenience of the ratepayers, copies of the l'ullbj exhibited for inspection at Mr Meiidelaou's store, Temuka, aud at Mr Grimmer' a store, Goraldiue." Resolved — "That the cleric and assessor bo instructed to furnish notices, to be sent to non-resident ratepayers, and that after being signed by the Chairman .they be addressed at once to the parties interested m accordance with the Road Ordinance Amendment Ordinance, 1807." The Engineer was directed to call for tenders for the following works .t— For bridges over Waihi river and creek, Waihi Crnssing. • For inetalliug about 200 yards of road between Mewirs Hay aud Pilbrow. For work necessary on the Waitohi Flat, as recommended by the Engineer m bis report . ; : For cutting down terrace north of the Kakahu river, near Mr Hay's, and also forming about 20 chains of road on the south side of the same, through Mr P»rker»on's property. T?or metalling the unmetalled parts, of the road between tho Temuka and the Waihi Hotel.
