DURBAN, Nov. 23. Tho Boers apparently intend rushing. Maritzburg. It is estimated there are 9,500 British troops at Ladysmith and 11,000 at Durban, Marilzburg, and Estcourt, The lack of cavalry is delaying General Cilery's advance on Ladysmith. The Boers are over-running Barkley East. Many natives are arming with rifles and assegais and are assembling and threaten to resist them. 'CAPETOWN;November 23. General Methuen commands 10,000 men, including the guards brigade and 4.800 cavalry. General Gatacre will arrest Maur 1 ansburg, a loading Colesburgman, for treason. Disloyal residents tried to destroy the bridge south of Naauwport, but the British detected the plot and foiled the attempt. General Gatacre has reconnoitred Molteno, a town 45 miles southwest of Aliwal North.
