Thames Drainage Board,

> •>' Auckland; June 7. , The monthly meeting of the Thames Drainage Board was held to-day, Present: Messrs Kissling (Chairman), Gordon, Park, McEnteer, Scott, Macfarlane, Clarke, and Dickey, The report, of Mr Brokenskire, manager of the Big Pump, was read and adopted. The annual rebate of _ 12£ per cent, was allowed and' accounts passed for payment. ,« With reference to the'shipment of jCoal referred to at last meeting, where the shipping notes supplied by the contractor having by mistake been [ put in, as coming from'.'the Premier mine, the matter' had been inquired into and it whs explained at to-day's meeting, members being fully satisfied that the coal supplied came from the Hikurangi mine. In reply to a communication from Mr Craig," it wis 'decided' to have a trial of Premier coal for one month, Mr Craig guaranteeing the Board from any loss that may be, occasioned from the change. Other matters of a routine nature were also', dealt with.
