The Coach Accident up North.
Auckland, January 20. Pa rticulars of the coach accident show that the passengers were Misses Johnstone and Lloyd, Mrs Allutn and two children, Messrs Clendon (Magistrate of Russell) Allutn, Reid (solicitor) Kirkpatrick and Br Lowe. At the foot of Utakura Hill one of the horses swerved and over-turned the vehicle. Mrs Allura and children had luckily got out previously, and the re3t of the passengers were throvvn out. Miss Johnstone had two of her fingers crushed. Miss Lloyd twisted her ankle and her feed was in j ur'ed. Mr Allum had an abrasion j of the leg. Mr Kirkpatrick got the whole weight of the coach upon his chest, and sustained a dislocation of his collarbone, fracture of nine ribs on the left side, seven on the right side, j and a severe bruise on his right shoulder. Mr Clendon, who was! buried under the coach, was much bruised on his forehead, eyes, nose and leg* Dr. Lowe was Crushed, his chest, leg, ajid left knee being injured. | The driver was pitched on to the, horse, but escaped unhurt.
