Breach of Promise Case.
(By Tolograph—Own Correspondent.) Auckland, March 22.. At the civil sessions of the, Supreme Court to-day the case of Caroline Parry,, v. George Crothera to recover £200 damages for alleged breach of promise of marriage was set down to be'heard. Mr Napier appearpd for the plaintiff and said he did not think (hat the defendant would appeal , . His "Honor deferred dealing with the case till a later stage of the sitting. Subsequently Mr Baume appeared in court and intimated through Mr Cotter that his firm.(Whitaker and Bauroe) were not prepared to go on with- the case for defendant.
