Some discussion took place on the recomendation of the Canterbury district meeting that the Rev. L. M. Isitt be allowed to continue his present temperance work. Ultimately it was decided that he should be allowed another year. Tho Rev. J. W. Watkiris was placed on the supernnraary list. At the request of the Wanganui circuit, the Rev. R.H.JJudkius was received on probation on transfer from Australia. The Rev. P.'Veile, minister of the Methodist Church, America, was received into full connection, but on financial probation for four years, At tho afternoon sitting committees were appointed to report on the affairs of the New Zealand Home Missions. The District meeting's recommendations and connexional balance-sheet's recommendation of the Auckland, distmet, that the Rev, Gittos should be appointed superintendent of the whole Maori work in thai , , district, and that he should reside in Auckland, were referred to the Home Mission Committee to re< port. The following new circuits were estab.liseed: Stratford, Eketohima and Riverton mission stations. Liter.
