CUSTOMS RETURNS.
(By Tel-guaph -Press Association) Wellington, March 2 The customs returns for February, oxelusive of two or three small ports and Auckland, where the officials refuse to supply the returns, amount to £116,167. Allowing for missing returns those i figures show a decrease upon tho same month of last year, but are still above the monthly estimate, Wellington contributed £26,997, Ohristchurch £27,277, and Dnnedin £39,708. The two first show a considerable decrease, whilst Dunedin shows an increase of nearly £1000. The beer duty, exclusive of Auckland, amounted to £2927, a decrease of about' £1000 on the same month of last year.
