The Socialist leaders, Hyndeman, Burns, Champion, and Williams, were charged at Bow-street to-day with the uttering' of seditious speeches at the recenfPmeefcing of unemployed in Trafalgar Square. After hearing seveial witnesseis v for the prosecution, inoluding the reporters for the Times and daily Telegraph newspapers, who testified as to the seditious nature of the speeches, the prisoners were remanded for a week for the production of further evidence, bail being accepted.
