Patea, Wednesday. Hiroki, the Momahaki murderer, was seen <ra Sunday, and is believed to be hovering around Waitotara hoping to get his wife away. A strong armed party of natives and Europeans started this morning to scour the bush on Okutuku and Momahaki blocks. Tho Government offer a reward to any person materially aiding the capture of Hiroki. Fo efforts are being spared by the Government officers and tho settlers, and Waitotara natives, who are showing themsolves willing to help. Hone Pihima was at Waitara to-day assisting in the search, and organising a party in conjunction with Oapt. Wray, A.O.

Itsitelton, Wednesday. The ship' Waimate' brings 49 passes gers. She had a very fine weather passage throughout. She left the Docks on June 14th and Scilly on Juno 21st; crossed the equator on 21st July, and made the Snares on Friday night last. She brings five race horses, four mares and one entire, for Mr G. Stead. They arrived in splendid condition. The 'WaimateV passage is 103 days from London, and 93 from land to land.

A terrific gale has been raging all day, but no particular damage was done.
