Cirtulars have been sent round by the directors of the Cross Newspaper Company convening a meeting of shareholders for Friday to take into consideration the winding up of the company. Mr Horton's offer for tho purchase has been accepted subject to the approval of the shareholders. It is rumoured that a composition of one shilling in tho pound will be paid. At a meeting of tho Presbytery to-day the Ecvß. Galloway was elected moderator.
