CABLE MESSAGES.
(reuter's special to press agency.) __ «■ Sydney, October 4. It is understood that the Government received a communication from the Superintendent of Telegraphs, now in England, that from information he obtained it is improbable that the American Government will subsidise a cable between America and Australia. Another body, that of an old man, has been found in the schooner' Atlantic,' which capsized in tho recent gale.
