Mr Maslicll, Provincial Secretary, who represents tho. district in the Provintyal Council, moved a resolution adverse to tli'o Abolition Bill, aud asking for dolay until after tlio goncral'eleotion; but an amendment in favour of immediato Abolition was carried by 49 to 37.—About fifteen thousand trout ova havo been obtained for artificial, hatching, but a largo quantity havo been destroyed by tlio failure of a now experiment. Nearly two thousand are already hatchcd out, and tho curator is expecting more ova yet.
