To tho Editor of tho Thames Anviiimssn. Sib,—sor the information ofMrDouglas and his co-delegates, lot mo again state, what I think I have already said as plainly as words can say it. In your issuo of tho 11th inst. flomo of Mr Douglas's co-delegates causcd lo bo in* serted a resolution said to havo been "passed at a meeting of delegates of tho various Friendly Societies at tho Thames." Tho only construction which can bo put upon this statement is, that the meeting represented tho whole of the Friendly Societies at the Thames when tho fact is that only tlireo out of seven lodges or societies at tho Thames were represented (and these thrco by only five out of nino persons who wcro nppointcd).. I hope Mr Douglas clearly understands what I mean, and that I do not retract what I have said, because what he complains of, as well as the other statements mado by mo in this correspondence, aro striclly in accordance wilh facts. As matters stand at present, I feel that it is Mr Douglas ana his co-delegates who should retract and apologise for the unwarrantable in* terfcrenco with mo.—l am, &c„ L. J. Bainall.
