To Hira is thinking of leaving this district and going to sottlo at Waitoa. Ho Bays that ho has novor been able to carry out his arrangements hero, and will therefore lcavo tho people to themselves. Ho blames certain parties who wero formerly staunch adherents, and I think ho refera to Hohopa to liauhihi and othors of tho Kiriwera hapu, who aro now nt. open, onmity willi him, and have declined to attend tho feast. To Hira Bays "ka ngiha taku ahi ki Waitoa," and ho will ohooso a party from tho Ngatikoi and Ngatipu to conduct him thither, Messrs Kelly and party, who haro taken tho contract for sawing timber for the Waitekauri Gold Mining .Company, have couio in for their tools. Thoy havo put up a largo hut capablo of accommodating 40 men, aud intend to push on tho work as quiokly as possible.
