Cadman, M.P.O.'s of Auckland, are to leave hero to-day.—Sir Donald -McLean gave a big entertainment to flio Maoris at Hastings. Sir Donald was not there himself. Mr Lock, E.M., spoke; also*Paora Apatn, Bihuoa, Bohepa Tamamutu, Bawira Kohia, and others. They expressed loyalty to the Queen and appreciation of McLean's services.. They desired to live at peace with the.pakeha, and wish to participate in progress and civilization.

Sailed: ' Especulador'and ' Money nick' (barque), for Auckland, both laden with produce, Poet Chalmebs, Saturday,ssp.m. . Arrived.: Tbe Portugese ship 'Alva/ from Hongkong, with 300 Chinese inimi-grants.-The vice-regal party and the Superintendent of Otago paid a visit to Port Chalmers at noon to-day.
