By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright LONDON, Oct. 24. *
Lord Haldane, at the inaugural meeting of the Institute of Industrial Administration, said the workers object to the domination of capital, and we must substitute as a basic principle riie notion that services are rendered' in common with a view of ensuring success in industry with greater output and profits. Profits, ho said, should be divided among those rendering service according to their merits. Capitalists are entitled to, and should receive interest commensurate with the risk run. Adequate salaries should be paid to managers and specialists, and a. standard wage to workers, extra profits_ to bo divided ijqpording to the services of each. Ho believed it possible to secure the workers’ support.—Aus.N.Z. Cablo Assn.
