NEXT WEEK’S TOURNAMENT. Great interest is being taken, in tho training of tlxf two principals in the professional bout at the boxing tournament which takes place at Now Plymouth next Thursday night. ’ Brown has improved very much since his last bout, and being fast and having plenty of riugcraft. should put up a big hid for victory. Tho amateur bouts should be fast, open, and' full of interest, the winners being well hidden. There will bo contests in bantam, light, welter and heavyweight classes. The evening’s boxing will make a good finish off to tho Hunt Club races. The association have catered well in tho past and patrons will find the forthcoming tournament up to their high standard in every detail. Patrons should hook early (tho box plan opens on Monday morning), and so bo sure of their seats.
