(Received June 19, 8.5 a.m.) LONDON, June T 7. In the Bradford wool tops’ market there was slightly better inquiry, hut business was only done when favourable to buyers. New Zealand apples brought by the Port Napier were mostly in good condition, but the pears were practically worthless. The wheat market is flat and nothing is offering. Flour is quiet. Oats are easier. La Platas on spot 59s 6d to 60s. Peas and beans are inactive and prices unchanged. Sugar is unchanged. ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. CHRISTCHURCH, June 16. At the Addington market to-day there was a big yarding of fat sheep and an average one of fat cattle. Store Sheep.—There was a slightly bigger yarding than last week. There was a healthier tone in the market, though no quotable change occurred in. values, but a better clearance was effected. Southland and West Coast sheep were represented in the yarding. Quotations: Inferior hoggets, 11s Id to 16s 6d; good hoggets, 16s to 225; goodi ewe hoggets, 335; 4, 6 and 8-tooth wethers, '27s 2d to 335; inferior 4, 6 and 8tooth ewes, in lamb, 22s lid; fair sound-mouthed ewes, 26s to 2852-tooth wethers, 22s lid to 28s. Fat Lambs.—Extra prime, to 35s 9d; prime, 27s 6d to 33s Id; medium, 25s to 27s 3d; light and‘unfinished, 20s to" 24s 6d. Fat Sheep.—A big yarding. Recent values were scarcely .maintained throughout the sale, particularly for secondary quality, and when butchers’ requirements were filled towards theclose there was an easing. Freezing buyers operated freely. Extra prime wethers, 48s 8d to S9s 6d; prime wethers, 405,t0 45s 6d; medium, 35s to 38s 6d; lighter, 29s to 84s; extra prime owes, 44s to 48s 9d; prime, 36s 6d to 43s 6d; medium, 30s 6d to 365; light, 21s to 29s 6d. Fat Cattle.—The market, though not so firm i s at recent sales, was up to last week’s values, prime beef selling satisfactorily.
