The ox-hospital steamer Marama newly reconditioned and specially cuipped for the trans-Pacific mail and passenger service, left Port Chalmers today for Wellington. She will leave AVellington on Juno 16 for San Francisco in place of the Moana. The Tahiti, which has been converted into an oil burner, left San Francisco on June 9 for Vancouver. The vessel has been renovated throughout and takes up the Makura’s running in the Vanconver-Auckland-Sydney mail service. leaving the Canadian port for Auckland on June 16 via Honolulu and Suva.
