At a reunion of comrades of Ist King Edward’s Horse, it was stated that over 550 young colonials in its ranks had obtained commissions in the British armies during the war. A memorial, in the shape 9! an elongated mile-stone on whicli is inscribed the names of 82 who fell, will be shortly unveiled at Vieille Chapello, where the regiment held up a German division all day long in 1918.
