MARINE INQUIRY.

LOSS OF THE AORERE. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, Juno 7. Tho Court of Inquiry into tho loss of the steamer Aorcrc found three causes, viz.: The vessel getting into a leaking condition by plates working loose in heavy-weather; tho pumj> not being fitted with proper serum; and tho captain’s error of judgment in not seeking tlie shelter either of Kapiti or in Queen Charlotte Sound. Other than this error there was no negligence or incompetence on the part of Captain Crotty, whoso certificate tvas returned. No order as to costs was made.
