SMITH AT WAREA. ' Mr. S. G. Smith addressed the electors at AVarea on Friday night. About | 40 ,wero present, Mr. T. Julian being j voted to the chair. The speaker dealt with the mam political topics of tho day, and in particular with the presont-day hi,zh cost of living, for which tho vast increase in duty was to a largo extent responsible. A few' questions were asked, and on concluding a hearty voto of thanks was accorded Mr. Smith. The motion was proposed'by Mr. Glontvorth, and seconded by Mr. 11. Corbett.
