THE PEOPLE’S. BIG DOUBLE BILL TO-NIGHT. To-night’s change presents a double bill of considerable merit headed by a sterling comedy-drama, “Venus in the East,” starring Bryant Washburn. It is a highly entertaining story of, a youth who met—what he described—a Venus. Everything ran smoothly for a while till the youth found that his Venus had a heart like marble. In fact she was all marble. That’s where the youth went looking for a real girl 1 Did he find one? It’s a real human story. . Tne second star film is entitled “The Little Mother,” and presents the wonderful child artiste, little Emmy Gorman. Only six -summers have passed over the golden head of this baby, yet her charm, her innocence, her beauty and her artlessness are priceless gems surrounding the cameo of her natural artistry. The story is one that will suit all tastes and ages. It will appeal equally to the young, middle-aged, and old folks: to the young folk because they will see a child of their own age performing the tasks usually allotted to grown-ups; to middle-aged folks because their own little ones will be reflected in the screen pictures' of this talented child; and to old folks because of their finer developed love ot all children, their memories of things and days that are past, and their calm outlook upon the future peopled with ■ spirit children ot their dreams. EVERYBODY’S. WILLIAM FARNUM IN “THE HEART OF A LION.” Attractive indeed is the feature film to-night at Everybody’s. It is entitled, “The Heart of a Lion,” has for its star the celebrated William Farnum in one of his “blue shirt” characters, for which he is so famous. It is pno of those intensely exciting photo-plays, full of those thrilling incidents so dear to the heart of picturelovers. In this, one of his greatest achievements, William Farnum finds out that his own brother has robbed him of the girl he loves. He determines to forget everyone and retires from surroundings pleasant and dear to him to live among the lumbermen. There he discovers his brother’s presence, but keeps his own presence a secret until, big-hearted, he comes to the assistance of his brother at a time when he is being attacked by the leader of the woodsmen. In this wav tiie two brothers are brought together. tfhe picture is adapted from “The Doctor of Crow’s Nest,” the well-known novel by Ralph Connor. Tonight will be the final screening occasion.
