A large English mail, due tn Auckland on Saturday, December 6, will arrive here on Monday night. A number of the successful exhibitors at the New Plymouth Horticultural Society’s show on Thursday have .generously donated their prize money to the funds of the society. A Dunedin telegram states that the Government has purchased Mr. Maurice Coghland’s farm, of 1240 acres, at Pukekohe, Auckland, for returned soldiers. The price is £20,000. Farmers should note that several useful agricultural implements will be sold by Nolan and Co. by Auction at 11.30 o’clock to-morrow. The housing question is very acute in New Plymouth just now. Intending purchasers should note that Messrs. Nolan and Co. are offering a house property by auction at 2.30 to-morrow. Full particulars in our advertising columns.
