Mr. Bates’ forecast for the 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day is as follows; The indications are for freshening westerly winds strong to gale, and hacking by west to south alter about 24 to 36 hours; the weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled with rain following; barometer falling, but rising after about 24 hours; seas rough, tides good.
