LICENSING COMMITTEE.

QUARTERLY MEETING. The quarterly meeting of the Taranaki Licensing was held at tho New Plymouth. Courthouse to-day. Those present wore: Mr. T. A. B. Bailey, S.M. (chairman), and Messrs. B. Cock, D. H. M'Donald, W. Arabnry and I l ’. P. Corkill. Sub-Inspector D. D. Hutton was present on behalf of the police. Two applications for transfer of licenses—tho Oakura Hotel, from E. 0. Meredith to P. C. Emeny; and the Okato Hotel, from Alex. Sanson to E. O. Meredith —were granted. Mr. H. R. Billing appeared for the applicant in each' case. The committee adjourned.
