EMPIRE THEATRE. “THE DIGGERS” SATURDAY NEXT The bright and clever musical combination, the “Digger” Pierrots, whose recent brief tour of the Dominion gained for them an excellent reputation for tlie unique entertainments 'presented, also much credit for the manner in which they worked for the benefit of returned soldiers, who benefited to tho extent of £2500 as a result of the “Diggers’ ” clforts, have decided to continue tho tour for a few weeks longer, visiting towns which were not included in tho previous itinerary, and return visits to others. In accordance with this arrangement, tho “Diggers” will appear at the Empire Theatre on Saturday next, when a programme of varied items of interest will bo presented, including musical gems, monoiogucs, character impersonations, eccentric studies, and many novelties. There is no doubt tho company will prove a great attraction during tho forthcoming season. The company consists of twenty performers, and a special feature of tho entertainment is a select orchestra of ten players, who form part of tho “Diggers’ ” combination. Stan Lawson, tlio clever female impersonator, will present several excellent original items. Intending patrons will be well advised to book seats to avoid disappointment. Tho box plan is open at Collier’s.
