A reminder is given to exhibitors that entries for the Stratford A. and P. Show close on Tuesday next, the 'lßth inst., at 9 p.m. The forthcoming show promises to be a record one for tlie association and the support from exhibitors outside of Taranaki Province is already assured. The dog classes are sure to bring forth keen | competition, especially when it is con- j sidered that the challenge classes of the ; Kew Zealand Kennel Club for fox ter- | tiers (smooth and wired), Australian j terriers, Sidney silk terriers, bull dogs, | pugs (black and fawn) will be decided | at this show. The classes for homo in- i dustrios are being well tilled with on- j tries from all parts of the Island, and | it is expected that the increased nuru- i her of competitors will be on a par j with the other sections. The Jersey I and .Ayrshire championships will also j be keenly competed for, while the handsome trophies and attractive I classes in the Friesian and Shorthorn classes ensure a ready response from lovers of these breeds. The liorso sections should produce somu lino exhibits and interesting displays, judging from the entries already to hand. Tlie show grounds were never looking better and the fact that the association have some acres of the ground shut up in order to provide green feed for the exhibits allows exhibitors to rest as- j sured that there will be no shortage on I that score. The splendid prize-money i and valuable trophies offered for the ■. different classes tu all sections of the i schedule should entice the moat fastidi- j ous to bring along their stock for com- i petition. Exhibits will be met at the ; railway station and taken to the show j grounds by experienced showmen, and! if the exhibitor is unable to be present i and attend to his stock, attendants ! will he provided and exhibits placed in I the show ring to their best advantage, i Finally for the patrons,, the association ! as in the past two years arc providing ; luncheon and afternoon teas in the ; spacious building on the ground.
