PRESIDENT POINCARE.
ON VISIT TO LONDON. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received Nov. 12, 12.25 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 11. Prince Albert meets President Poincare and 'his wife at Dover at noon today. They arrive at Victoria Station at 3 o’clock, where, the King and Queen will meet and accompany them to Buckingham Palace. They will be attended by a sovereign’s escort, and troops will "line the streets. _ There is to be a- State banquet to-night. President Poincare, in acknowledging an address at Dover, said that side by side wo had achieved victory. Let us perpetuate tho friendships oi the battlefield. Tho Newspaper Proprietors’ Association celebrated tho visit by giving a luncheon to 30 Frencli journalists, English editors, and others, at the Savoy, Lord Burnham presiding. COMMENTS OP FRENCH PRESS. (Received Nov. 12, 11.25 a.m.) PARIS, Nov. 10. Tho newspapers attach political significance to the visit of MM. Poincare and Pichon to London and expect an understanding on the Russian situation will be arrived at. The Gaulois regards Mr. Lloyd George’s pronouncement as a capitulation to the Bolsheviks, which will inevitably lead to an alliance between Germany and tho Slavs. Other newspapers condemn Mr. Lloyd George’s new policy towards Russia.
