Four or five tons of tho cargo of the launch Marakopa, which was wrecked near the mouth of tho Mohakatino River on Monday, were removed from tho ship when she caipe ashore and carried well up on tho beach above hijth water mark. The water then began to get too deep to salve the other cargo and operations were suspended until the following morning. In tho meantime, however, , the Marakopa became a total wreck and the balance of her cargo disappeared altogether, being apparently washed out to sea. Afternoon tea and hot water can now he obtained each Thursday and Sunday at the East End Reserve*
