THE GENERAL ELECTION.
HON. J. B. HIKE AT POHOKURA. A representative audience greeted Major Hino at the opening of his campaign at Pohokura on Monday night. Mr. D. Pitcaithly occupied the chair. The speaker dealt with many important topics of interest, including the housing problem, profiteering, and cost of living. On the motion of the chairman, a hearty vote of thanks was accorded Major Hino for his interesting address. Ho will speak at Kohuratahi and IV hora to-day.
