NORTH TARANAKI HUNT.
POINT TO POINT STEEPLECHASE. The North Taranaki Hunt are having a change of programme to-morrow by way of two point to point steeplechases ono for first-class hunters 'and one for second-class. The course is to ho about two miles and is at Dir. Ley. Birdling’s property, Waitara, which is admirably suited, having natural vantage points from which tho spectators can view the races from start to finish. The prizes are, to be trophies, the first prize for tho first-class hunters having been kindly donated by the president, Colonel C. H. Weston. The Hunt extends a cordial invitation to the public, and trusts that there will ho a vood gathering to witness tho events, which are sure to be interesting. The members of the Hunt have worked hard to prepare tho course, which is a first class one, and the horses will have to bo at their best to get round. Tho first event will start about 2. .30 p.m., giving visitors from Now Plymouth and the surrounding districts ample time to get there.
