A Wellington critic comments, says the Auckland Star: It will have to come sooner or later, for the links at Berhamporo are uncomfortably crowded on Saturdays and holidays. On a recent holiday 220 tickets were sold, and it is common on fine Saturdays to sell 140 and upwards—far too many players for a nine-hole course, if one wants to enjoy a game. This suggests that perhaps the New Plymouth Borough Council might consider the purchase of the Witiora property for a municipal course. Such\a purchase would add to the many attractions of New Plymouth, and ,Ts the years go by would add many pounds to the revenue of the Now Plymouth trams. Tho town has few enough reserves as it is, and the opportunity to secure such a property for the town should not he lost.
