MEN STAND BY WALSH. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. MELBOURNE, August 4. A mass meeting of seamen was suddenly convened to consider a message from Walsh intimating that he did not desire that his imprisonment should stand in the seamen’s way of accepting the Government’s offer. A round-table conference meeting resolved not to negotiate for a settlement through anyone else hut Walsh. SYDNEY, August 4. The crews of the Makura and Kakapo have been paid off.
