SUDDEN DEATHS. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, June 15. A returned soldier named Dansey, living at St. Clair, was found dead in bed on Saturday night by his wife, who had just returned from a holiday. Indications point to heart failure. A man named Daniel David Brown, residing at Carroll Street, was found dead in bed to-day, death apparently resulting from asphyxiation. KILLED BY A RACEHORSE. v WHANGAREI, June 15. Tho death occurred at the hospital last night of Harry Dempster, aged about 50 years, a general carrier, as the result of a kick from his racehorse, Kaiangaroa, on Friday afternoon when deceased was adjusting the animal’s cover. Dempster's face was fearfully mutilated, his eyesight being completely destroyed. A widow and five children are left. KILLED BY MOTOR-CYCLE. MASTERTON, June 15. William In Falconer, a well known settler of Masterton, was killed last night on tho Masterton-Cartertori road. Deceased was riding ’a. pushbicycle towards his home at Taratahi when a motor-cycle, ridden hy a Maori named Maniherat forcibly collided with him. When picked up Falconer was quite dead. The Maori sustained injuries to his head and face, but they wore not serious. Falconer was a married man and a Justice of the Peace.
