NEED FOR BETTER SALARIES. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, June 5. A deputation representing the .secondary school teachers waited on Mr. Hanan to-day and ventilated grievances regarding salaries and superannuation. Regarding tho latter, tho deputation pointed out that two years spent in the training college counted for superannuation, but four years’ training at the university for secondary schools was not counted. The Minister said the position of secondary school teachers bad not received sufficient consideration. ' After paying a tribute to tho work of secondary school teachers, he said he would do' his best to have a satisfactory draft of a Dominion scale of salaries for omlary school teachers submitted toCabinet.
