SUPREME COURT.
MARTON DIVORCE CASE,
Per Press .Association. WELLINGTON, Juno 5. This morning in tho Supreme Court it was announced that the divorce case, Albert E. O'. W. Brooks v. Cecilia Myrtle Brooks and Donald MTvenzie, in which petitioner claimed £4OOO damages had _ boon settled, correspondent consenting to tho verdict of the jury for £1250 damages with costs.
The Chief Justice explained to the jury that the money would not go to the petitioned, but bo set aside for the benefit of the children and possibly of tho wife. It ©plying to counsel the judge said that respondent as well ns petitioner was entitled to costs. The jury returned a formal verdict for £1250 and costs.
