COURSING.

THE BOOKER CUP. Tho semi-finals and final of tho Booker Cup competitions were run off at Warea on Tuesday, and wore witnessed by a good crowd of spectators. The weather was all that could be desired. Mr. C, Evotfs, of Oaonui, was judge, and Mr. F, Doughty, New Plymouth, acted as slip. J. Feavor’s Sunspot and Coastguard went through the final and tho first and second prizemoney (£lO and £5 respectively) was therefore divided, whilst Haskell’s Comedy Lass received third money (£2 10s). Results:— FIRST SEMI-FINAL. J. Fearer’s Sunspot ran an accidental bye. J. Feaver’s (Opunake) Coastguard beat G. Gardener’s (New Plymouth) Pirate Chief. Haskell’s (Bell Block) Comedy Lass beat M. B. Doolaghty’s (Opunake) Shillelagh. SEMI-FINAL. Sunspot beat Comedy Lass. Coastguard a bye. The final therefore lay between .Sunpot and Coastguard and as both dogs belonged to the same, owner he decided to divide first and second money.
