As the result of tho Now Zealand quarantine restrictions tho owners have withdrawn the Wcstralia from tho Melbourne-Wclliiigton service. Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn. DOMINION FIGURES. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 22. The Minister of Public Health to-day supplied the figures for the notification of influenza during the days from April 14 to 17. In all 38 cases were notified. In the Auckland district there were 14 cases, all mild, except one gastric ease at Ohura. la the Wellington health district there wore 18 cases, 2 at EiiJiam (both of an epidemic type), 6 in Wellington City (4 severe and 2 mild), and 3 in Pahiatua (2 mild and 1 pneumonic). All the other cases in tho district wore mild. In tho Canterbury district there were 5 cases, 2 of them shipping cases at Lyttelton, both pneumonic, from tho steamer Koromiko. In Otago there was one mild epidemic case in tho Vincent hospital district. WELLINGTON. April 22. The Minister of Public Health is endeavouring to expedite the work required to enlarge tho quarantine stations, and has requested tho Chief Health Officer to report as to what has been done regarding tho stations and how long it will take to got ,thcra into an efficient state. Tho officer has reported that tho public Works Department is pushing on with the work at Motuihi, where provision is being made for tho accommodation of 250 people, making the total capacity of the island 450, At Somes Island hutments are to bo provided, increasing the accommodation to 500. AUCKLAND, April 22. No fresh cases of influenza have been reported at the quarantine station at .Motuihi. Eight patients were discharged to-dav, comprising one passenger and seven members of tho crew, who were left behind. This leaves 17 patients still on the island, of which two cases are serious.
