“FORBIDDEN PATHS” PRESENTING. SESSUB HAYAKAWA AND VIVIAN MARTIN. “Forbidden Paths,” a dramatic Paramount melodrama, is the feature of the new programme at the People’s tonight. Sessuo Hayakawa, the noted Japanese actor, who appeared recently in “The Cheat,” and in “The Bottle Imp,” is seen as the hero, while Vivian Martin appears as “Little Cherry Blossom.” The story concerns the life of Harry Maxwell, a young American, who neglects his “Cherry Blossom” and: goes to Mexico, where he meets Benita Ramirez, a Mexican adventuress. Later he realises his .mistake, and returns to New York, intending to marry Ms former lover. Benita follows. It is a play of rapid action, the climax being most dramatic. Other films are screened including the latest Gazettes and an excellent film of the Melbourne Oup. The usual matinee takes place lomarrow, at 2 ft.m.
