Mr T C. Hirst, manager of tho Bank of Australasia at Now Plymouth has received notice of his transfer to Invercargill.

Mr. Charles JJachanahi, district manager of the Public Trust Office at Wellington, has been appointed local Deputy Public-Trustee at Wellington as from January 1.

Corporal A. W. Diprose, whose name appears to-day in the list of wounded, received a serious scalp wound from ' ahrapnel. Corporal Dipros© was formerly on. the-etafi of the New Plymouth Boys’ High School.

Colonel Arthur Asquith, son the Bri■fctsh ex-Prcmier, who . was severely wounded in Prance, and had a foot amputated, has been promoted to the rank of brigadier-general. He won two bars to bis Distinguished Service Order.
