WHEAT, WOOL OR MEAT. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Australian X.Z. Cable Assn. SYDNEY, Jan. 23. Wheat or meat production is occupying considerable attention. Contrary to Air. Ashford’s advice, Professor Lefroy, the British Government’s wheat representative, told a conference of producers that a sound policy for Australia was to cultivate the largest stock of wheat possible to meet the terrific food shortage after, the war. Wheat, he said, can be saved from weevils. If stored properly it can be kept indefinitely, he guaranteed for at least five years.
